The watchOS 9.4 release candidate was seeded by Apple to developers for testing, and the software upgrade was made available one week following the fourth beta’s release.
To install the newest watchOS 9.4 version, developers will have to install the configuration profile from the Apple developer center. When you install the latest version, watchOS can be installed from the apple watch app on the iPhone by going to General > Software update. To update new software, the apple watch is required to have 50% battery life, it has to be placed on the charger, and it will have to be in the series of the iPhone it is paired with.
WatchOS 9.4 supports the latest emojis characters, including a donkey, blackbird, shaking head, hyacinth, peapod, and others. As per apple, the WatchOS 9.4 update also prevents wake-up alarms from being silenced with the cover-to-mute sign to prevent accidental cancellations during sleep.
It also carries AFib history to various additional countries, including Thailand, Ukraine, and Colombia; plus, it adds cycle tracking in Moldova & Ukraine.
However, the new watchOS 9.4 RC was released with iOS 16.4 RC, iPadOS 16.4 RC, and MacOS Ventura 13.3 RC to developers; this update will bring some new features to the Apple watch.
