How to view and delete chrome saved passwords

On a computer:

  • Open Chrome.
  • On the right side of the toolbar, hit the circular Profile, then hit Passwords.
  • From there, you can see, delete, or export your saved passwords.
    • View saved passwords: Hit the eye icon to the right of each password to see it. You’ll be prompted to type your system password in to see it in plain text.
    • Delete saved passwords: Hit the three vertical dots to the right of each password, then click Remove.
    • Export saved passwords: To the right of Saved Passwords, hit the three vertical dots, and click Export passwords.

To delete all saved passwords at once:

  • Open Chrome.
  • On the right side of the toolbar, open the menu by clicking the three vertical dots, then hit  More Tools, then click Clear Browsing Data.
  • In the Clear browsing data window, hit the Advanced tab, uncheck everything except for Passwords and other sign-in data, then click Clear Data.

To stop Chrome from saving your passwords:

  • Open Chrome.
  • On the right side of the toolbar, hit the circular Profile, then hit Passwords.
  • Turn off Offer to save passwords.

How to delete and view saved passwords

On a computer:

  • Open Edge.
  • On the right side of the toolbar, open the menu by hitting the three horizontal dots, then click Settings.
  • On the Settings page, scroll down and hit View advanced settings.
  • Please scroll down to the Privacy and services section in Advanced settings and click Manage my saved passwords.
    • View saved passwords: Hit on the password you want to view or edit.
    • Delete saved passwords: Hit the X next to each password you want to delete.

To delete all passwords at once:

  • Open Edge.
  • On the right side of the toolbar, open the menu by hitting the three horizontal dots, then click Settings.
  • In Settings, scroll down to the Clear browsing data section and hit Choose what to clear.
  • In Clear browsing data, uncheck everything except for Passwords and hit Clear.

To stop Edge from saving your passwords:

  • Open Edge.
  • On the right side of the toolbar, open the menu by hitting the three horizontal dots, then click Settings.
  • On the Settings page, scroll down and hit View advanced settings.
  • In Advanced settings, turn off Proposal to save my passwords.

On a computer:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. On the right side of the toolbar, open the menu by clicking the three horizontal lines, then hit Preferences.
  3. Hit the Privacy & Security tab on the left side.
  4. Click Saved Logins under Forms & Passwords.
  5. In the Saved Logins window, you can see or delete your saved passwords.
    • View saved passwords: Hit Show Passwords to view all your passwords in plain text.
    • Delete saved passwords: Hit on the password you want to delete, then click Remove. To delete all saved passwords, click Remove All.

To stop Firefox from saving your passwords:

  • Open Firefox.
  • Hit open the menu by clicking the three horizontal lines, then click Preferences.
  • Hit the Privacy & Security tab on the left side.
  • Uncheck all the Remember logins and passwords for websites under Forms & Passwords.

How to see and delete saved passwords on Safari

On a computer:

  • Open Safari.
  • Hit Safari on the top left of your screen, then click Preferences.
  • In the “Preferences” window, click the Passwords tab.
  • After you input your system password, you can view or delete your saved passwords.
    • View saved passwords: Hit on a password to reveal your plain-text password.
    • Delete saved passwords: Hit on the password you want to delete, then click Remove. To delete all saved passwords, hit the top password, hold Shift, scroll and click the bottom password, and all of your passwords will be selected; from there, click Remove.

To stop Safari from saving your passwords:

  • Open Safari.
  • Hit Safari on the top left of your screen, then click Preferences.
  • In the “Preferences” window, click the AutoFill tab.
  • Uncheck each preference to turn off AutoFill completely, or uncheck Usernames and passwords to stop saving passwords.
