Tesla stunned the world with its EV cars, and now it is doing the same for pickup trucks with the launch of the new Cybertruck. So, let’s get right in and know all about the Tesla Cybertruck.
About Tesla Cybertruck
The battery-electric Cybertruck is a medium-duty, full-size pickup truck manufactured by Tesla. It was launched as a concept vehicle in November 2023. At first glance, it looks like a spaceship, features a triangular body design, and is unique among all-electric vehicles available on the market. The owner of Tesla, Elon Musk, said that the Cybertruck has the capabilities to challenge the top-selling pickup trucks.
Cybertruck Models and Prices

Dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) | $79,990 |
Tri-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) “Cyberbeast” | $99,990 |
The Tesla Cybertruck has three models; as of writing, Tesla is delivering two models, Dual motor AWD and Cyberbeast Tri motor AWD, in limited quantities. The third model single-motor RWD – rear wheel drive should start shipping in 2025.
Tesla Cybertruck Interior, Design, and Comfort Level
The Cybertruck stainless steel body consists of a polarizing, angular design with sharp edges and paintless alloy body panels. The doors are bulletproof, and the stainless steel is dust resistant but quickly accumulates fingerprints and stains.
Well, if you think that the interior of the Tesla Model 3 is minimalistic would have the same reaction you see in the Cybertruck cabin. The headroom is large in the rear seat, wide enough to accommodate 5 occupants. But a rider over six feet tall still finds the interior chaunted. The glass roof spreads nearly uninterrupted from the windshield to the back of the truck.
However, the chunky A-pillar up front and small windows create massive blind spots, which is why the rear mirror becomes useless. Consequently, you must depend on the truck’s cameras to see around you.
Drive Performance
The dual motor of a Tesla Cybertruck makes a combined 600 horsepower. However, if you are looking for ultimate performance, then you will appreciate the Cyberbeast model, which features a trio motor that makes a combined 834 horsepower. The powertrain components for each motor are placed in a liquid cool integrated subassembly that includes the rotor/stator inverter and the gear set.
Moreover, the Cybertruck feels so agile on the road as the combination of rear steering wheels and adjustable ratio steer-by-wire system makes easy maneuver in town environments than other pickup trucks. However, the adjustable air suspension system offers up to 17 inches of ground clearance, 35-degree approach, and 28-degree departure angles that make the Tesla Cybertruck a strong off-road vehicle.
Battery and Range
The dual motor all-wheel drive model’s estimated driving range is 340 miles, and the Cyberbeast model has a range of 320 miles. However, the single-motor Rear-Wheel Drive model has an estimated driving range is 250 miles. Tesla claims that when the dual-motor AWD is charged with a Tesla supercharger, it further can add 136 miles in 15 minutes, and the tri-motor AWD model can add 128 miles simultaneously.
However, the driving range can rise over 440 and 407 miles, correspondingly with an optional range extender battery pack that can fit inside the truck’s cargo bed. The battery life of the Tesla Cybertruck covered 8 years or 150.000 miles, and the warranty lasts 4 years or 50,000 miles, whatever comes first.
Cargo and Towing
The cargo bed of Cybertruck is 72 inches long and 48 inches wide with sloped side walls. Offering 121 cubic feet volume that can load 2500 pounds with the 11,000 pounds of towing capacity. Inside the cargo bed, there is a hidden storage section under the floor, which is big enough to fit an extra carry-on suitcase. Moreover, the Tesla Cybertruck also includes a motor-powered roller shutter-style tonneau cover that folds a storage area.
Is Tesla Cybertruck Really Worth it?
Cybertruck offers outclass power, battery range, advanced technology, and an unusual exterior, so it mostly lives up to your expectations. However, the design has some drawbacks, like big blind spots and a wobbly windshield wiper. But the Cybertruck is still an attractive pickup for you if you want to go fast and embrace the innovation.
