Now, with the latest update on windows, WhatsApp gets a new feature that allows users to join a call by simply tapping on a link.
However, WhatsApp for Windows 11 & 10 has been developing its features for years, with one of the newest updates including support for dedicated “Calls” tab for users.
An update for WhatsApp beta is now released, allowing support for a new “Call links” feature. If you have ever made calls using WhatsApp for Android, you may encounter this link feature, which allows you to invite anyone to the call using the link. So anyone can view the link and join the call session whenever they want.
To get started, you will have to open the Calls tab in WhatsApp and tap on a new option known as “Create a link” you can select between voice & video the link to whoever you wish, and they can join the call. However, this feature makes the conference call and meetings quite easier.
WhatsApp says you can send the link using the contacts feature within the WhatsApp platform or copy the link (great for sending the link on other platforms such as SMS or email). You can create as many links as you want, but keep in mind the call link will automatically after 90 days; you will have to generate a new set of links every three months. Further, it supports almost 32 people at the same time.
According to the reports, the feature is currently available on the official beta channel for windows 2.2307.1.0 and will soon roll out to users.
