Microsoft has launched a new feature for Windows 11 developer preview that makes viewing images in Windows File Explorer quicker and easier.
In this preview proclamation, users can view their Photo app image library by perusing files and folders within the file explorer. Microsoft summons this new feature Gallery.
However, a new gallery view is a display option from inside file explorer, and by default, it displays users the same assortment of images they had grasped when using all photo views in the Photos app.
Microsoft reformed its photos app for Windows 11 last September, giving it an upgraded UI, new Gallery View, an improved Memories feature, and many more. In the conversation for its renewed coat of paint, the app abandoned the heirloom app video editor.
Furthermore, the new Windows 11 preview feature in File Explorer is a straight extension of the feature within the latest proclamation of the Photos application.
Microsoft describes that Gallery is improved for opening your most newly taken photos. If a user has OneDrive Camera Roll Backup set up on their phone, pictures a user take will show up robotically at the top of the view. Users can select which folders are shown in Gallery over the Collection dropdown. Users can also increase subfolders of current sources to riddle to a subsection of your content. Such as desktop backgrounds and SD card/camera ingresses.
This description means that a default view will show all photos within the photo app users preserve control over how their images are shown inside the new file explorer gallery view. Some group features are accessible inside Gallery. The application would not require vigor users to scroll through their whole image library if they don’t need to.
