Apple to launch its first foldable iPhone, which could arrive as early as 2026, according to a report from Forbes. Just like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, the phone is rumored to fold horizontally.
Apple has been working on the foldable phones for a long time. But now it seems as if the idea has moved beyond the conceptual stage and is now in its development stage with the suppliers and is also given a secret name, V68.
Reportedly, Apple is working to eradicate the crease that appears when the phone is unfolded, which is consuming a lot of time. This crease issue could cause Apple to launch its first foldable iPhone, probably in 2027. The delay can also be caused by Apple trying to make the folded phone the same thickness as the normal iPhone, meaning that the foldable iPhone will be comparatively thinner than any other in the market.
Aside from its foldable phone, Apple is also working on a MacBook-like Foldable that could start shipping in 2026. A rumor also reports that Apple is also working on much thinner iPhones for 2025.
