Google Replaced its Chromecast With TV Streamer

The era of Google Chromecast is over as Google replaced its Chromecast with TV Streamer. In a post on Tuesday, Google officially announced that it was discontinuing its Chromecast.

The 11-year-old streaming dongles will be available until supplies last. Google says that as technology has evolved, we are taking our devices to the next step by offering evolved TV streaming devices based on the same technology as Chromecast.

Google replaced its Chromecast with TV Streamer, which will be launched on September 24. The new streamer is 22 percent faster and offers Thread and Matter integration. The newly announced Streamer can be a potential competitor to the Apple TV 4K. Google confirmed that, despite the discontinuation, it will continue to provide software and security updates.
