GTA 6 is Expected to Feature Ray Tracing and Other Advancements

GTA 6 is Expected to Feature Ray Tracing

Last year Rockstar revealed the very first official trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6 that shows the general idea of what the game will look like. Now one of the GTA 6 leaks has come to give the details about it. According to Rumor, GTA 6 is expected to feature ray tracing, global illumination, and procedural generation.

The rumored post from the GTA 6 developer explains: “Oversee the design, development, and optimization of the core engine of Rockstar’s in-house RAGE engine. Including rendering, physics, AI, and memory management, ensuring the engine can handle open-world environments and simulations. I collaborated with other technical leads, producers, and directors to define the technical vision and architecture of engine systems for current and future titles”.

He also stated that: “Lead performance profiling and optimization efforts, pushing the limits of real-time rendering and processing to maintain smooth performance across multiple platforms, including next-gen consoles and PC. Drive the integration of new technologies and research into the engine pipeline, such as ray tracing, ray-traced global illumination, procedural generation for objects and game environments, and various other technical systems within the engine core”

According to the leaked details it seems like GTA 6 is creating its vast open world. But let’s be honest the leaked information is not guaranteed that every new feature will be a part of GTA 6 until and unless Rockstar itself made an official announcement.  Moreover, one of the rumors also suggests that the new trailer will also be released sometime in December, but again no official announcement has been made related to this.
