YouTube’s new CEO Neal Mohan penned his first letter to its community, released on Wednesday morning, 2nd march 2023. In his lengthy letter to YouTube, Mohan highlights the company’s intentions to endure auxiliary the community by open-handed them added utensils to make money in the year ahead.

Moreover, he also affected other 2023 priorities, including how YouTube looks at testing with propagative AI and many formats. Such as podcasts and short videos, among many other things, for creators’ economic success on the platform.

The previous month the long-time top executive of YouTube, Susan Wojcicki, stepped down to concentrate on her health, family, and personal ventures. That was directed to Chief Product Officer Neal Mohan, being sponsored to the company’s highest seat.

Mohan is now charged with directing YouTube, which strives in multiple categories oscillating from a short video streaming service. However, in the letter, Mohan mentioned a study from Oxford Economics demonstrating that in 2021 more than 2 million creators got money comparable to a full-time job across various countries.

Recently, YouTube has started experimenting with different procedures that let creators make money. Including ad profits and shopping-related features sharing on shorts. The company mentioned that people subscribing to individual channels had hopped 20% annually to six million.

He also emphasized multi-linguistic features, including dubbing clips into additional language and auto subtitles. He stated that the administration would be looking to see more creators this year and offer more sustenance to them.

Mohan said: “We are also snooping on creators through improved support. Last year we more than doubled the number of creators and partners who can become live support through chat or email. Over half of these creators are placed outside of the U.S.”

Recently at an event, the company proclaimed that podcasts are coming to YouTube Music with features like background play. Previous year YouTube oblique its strategies when a new podcast page looked for U.S grounded users. The platform is now constructing RSS feed addition for podcasters; accordingly, they don’t have to upload episodes to the service distinctly.

Furthermore, assuming the recent approval of OpenAI’s ChatGPT bot, several platforms are discovering product use gears of generative AI. Microsoft is set in the tech in Bing search, the edge browser, and Windows 11.

Subsequently, YouTube does not want to stay behindhand. But the Mohan was light on details and said in his letter:

“Creators can increase their storytelling and production worth from virtually exchanging outfits to making a fanciful film set through AI’s generative skills. We are taking the time to grow these features with thoughtful railings. Stay tweaked in the coming months as we roll out tools for creators and the fortifications to encirclement this tech reliably.”

He also highlighted that YouTube focuses on making the platform nonviolent for kids with tools like a parent-controlled playlist on Google TV. Mohan pointed out in the letter that YouTube appeals to various governments on policymaking.

The company is intricate in a case in the U.S. Supreme Court where complainants have suspected that Google is accountable for encouraging YouTube content uploaded before the terrorist attack in Paris in 2015. The case centers on how the court takes Section 230, which progresses the platform from accountability for user-created content.
